Renewable Energy Sourcing Specialist

Position
The Energy Sourcing Department at Novo Nordisk A/S is seeking a skilled professional to manage the sourcing of global renewable energy solutions for our manufacturing sites. As a Category Manager - Energy Solutions, you will be responsible for sourcing energy contracts and new solutions, and setting up contracting with suppliers.
Strong collaboration with external partners and global Novo Nordisk teams is vital. You will join our Strategic Sourcing Department in the Energy category, contributing to our ongoing efforts to be an industry leader operating on 100% renewable energy.
You will be working closely with senior team members, suppliers, and partners to guarantee the right contractual and strategic set-up to support supplies for our ambitious demands. You will be based in Denmark, working closely with line of business on the agreements and tenders for our global operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with line of business to address location-specific conditions and challenges.
- Manage category fundamentals such as contracting, supplier collaboration structures, and risk assessments according to internal procedures.
- Work closely with projects focusing on new processes, technologies, and innovative sourcing methods.
- Jointly manage supplier relations, budget, risk mitigation, and price/contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms.
- Foster category transparency by connecting projects and ideas across various fields, including sustainability and data management.
Requirements
- Master's degree or relevant field, such as supply chain, business, or engineering.
- Proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing, eProcurement, or similar obtained from an international organization or a consulting company.
- Strong knowledge and interest in renewable energy, including decarbonisation of thermal sources and understanding of utility companies' services.
- Interest in driving a strong sustainability agenda around renewable energy.
- Written and spoken fluency in both English and Danish, with proficiency in an additional EU language a plus.
About the Department
Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk's Product Supply division. We are responsible for securing that we have suppliers in place to support Novo Nordisk's global pharmaceutical production. Through collaboration with our international supplier networks, we ensure availability of the supply needed to develop and produce products that help millions of people around the world to live with chronic diseases.
