The successful candidate will contribute to the Arctic biogenic volatile compounds from above (AVOCA) project, focusing on developing and applying remote sensing techniques using data from unmanned aerial systems (UAS), satellite data, and field work.

About the AVOCA Project

The AVOCA project is a multidisciplinary initiative aiming to quantify emissions of biogenic volatile organic compounds (BVOCs) in Arctic tundra. We will develop and apply new remote sensing methods to estimate BVOC emissions, surface classification/biodiversity assessment, photosynthesis, and plant stress observations in natural ecosystems.

Job Requirements

  • Experience in multi- and hyperspectral remote sensing and image analysis
  • Interest in working with UAS systems
