Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Barcelona office. In this role, you will be responsible for leading design aspects, operations, risk management, contractual matters, and other key functions. You will strategically design timelines and work-plans, proactively deal with risk assessment and management, and support the project team in developing compelling creative design scenarios.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaise with clients to drive discussions to resolutionReporting to the Partner-in-Charge on design aspects and to the Managing Director on operations, risk management, contractual, and other mattersStrategically design timelines and work-plansProactively deal with risk assessment and managementSupport, advise, direct, and educate all design processes from a technical and buildability perspectiveSupport the project team to develop compelling creative design scenariosContribute as required to the Design ReviewsSupport communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsProvide technical guidance and innovative solutions to help resolve complex technical and design challenges

Your Role:

You will take ownership of defending BIG's design intent throughout all phases, liaison with Client & Consultant team, production of contract documents, and management and mentorship of team members.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

A professional degree in architecture and +5 years' professional experience as a Project ManagerExcellent communication skills, fluent in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writingStrong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage time effectivelyWillingness to take on constructive guidance in response to direction from managers
