Lead Product Strategist for Travel Booking Experience

Job SummaryWe're seeking an experienced Principal Product Manager to join our Cars team at KAYAK in Cambridge, MA. As a key member of our product leadership team, you'll be responsible for crafting a roadmap that delivers thoughtful and tailored experiences for travelers.
Responsibilities- Own the Cars product experience, user journey, and roadmap across all platforms
- Define and prioritize user problems and needs, accounting for multiple brands, locales, and languages
- Craft requirements that facilitate meaningful product improvements, weighing impact against business goals and technical feasibility
- Become an expert in the Cars space, cultivating knowledge of partner inventory, data accuracy complexities, booking options, and how KAYAK can make it easier to find and book the right car
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external partners, working closely with them to understand their needs and motivations, creating alignment with common goals
- Measure and analyze insights from product changes, chasing impact against key metrics and opportunities revealed by data, user research, and A/B experiment results
- Work with customer support and UX to collect feedback from and respond to users
- Monitor the competitive landscape and stay informed about travel and e-commerce spaces, especially within Cars, and the latest capabilities across multiple platforms
- Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, finance, economics, or related degree. MBA preferred
- 10+ years of proven experience in product management, with a preference for candidates with experience in Cars and/or Travel and a proven track record of growth in responsibilities
- Strong leadership presence with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to articulate a team vision and translate technical concepts into broadly understood material
- A consumer mentality and an e-commerce or B2C background - bonus points if you're a regular traveler as well
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and organizational complexities, moving seamlessly from high-level strategy to detailed problem solving
- Market-driven approach with a strong understanding of best-in-class companies in e-commerce, cars, and travel
- Demonstrated experience in data-motivated decision-making and project management
- $120,000 - $150,000 per year salary, depending on experience
- 4 weeks paid vacation
