Postdoctoral Researcher in Immunology at Department of Microbiology and Immunology

Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet (KU) Full time

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our dynamic team at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology. The successful candidate will be part of a two-year project focused on understanding allergic immunity at a fundamental level.

Our research group, led by Jonathan Coquet, is dedicated to exploring the intricacies of allergic inflammation. We employ mouse models of allergy and infection, combined with human tissue studies, to investigate the underlying mechanisms. Key questions driving our research include: What drives pathogenic inflammatory responses? What triggers allergic inflammation? How do environmental and genetic factors interact to mediate allergy?

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will play a crucial role in advancing our knowledge in this area. You will have the opportunity to design and execute experiments, collaborate with national and international partners, and present your findings through conference participation and other avenues.

Key qualifications for this position include:

  • A PhD in Immunology
  • Extensive experience in microscopy, flow cytometry, histology, and mouse handling
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in teams
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken

We offer a stimulating working environment, modern laboratories, and access to world-class core microscopy and flow cytometry facilities. Our location within the Maersk Tower provides opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and professional growth.
