We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at DTU Electro, working on the project 'High-efficiency high-power laser beaming in-space systems based on SiC (RePowerSiC)', funded by the EIC pathfinder challenge. As pioneers in the field of SiC optoelectronics, we anticipate that your involvement will significantly impact our research outcomes.
Responsibilities- Design, fabricate, and characterize antireflection layers for SiC
- Optimize the fabrication process to achieve low series resistance and high-efficiency SiC laser power converters
- Build the experimental setup to characterize the efficiency of SiC laser power converters
- Explore the high power density limit in SiC laser power converters theoretically and experimentally
- Interact actively with other group members and European partners
- PhD degree in a relevant field
- Experience in nano/micro fabrication, experimental or theoretical photonics, experimental or theoretical electronics, semiconductor physics, or solid-state physics
- Interest in supervising students and a proven track record of relevant research
