The DTU Space department is seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join the ERC-funded MAGNIFY project. This project explores the effects of magnetic fields on stellar structure and mixing processes within stars.
Responsibilities- Create and analyze a comprehensive grid of stellar and pulsation models for A and F stars.
- Investigate the impact of different model parameters on pulsation characteristics.
- Use asteroseismology to study near-core and surface magnetic fields, integrating findings into a broader understanding of stellar structures.
- Analyze how magnetic fields affect pulsation frequencies.
- Publish research findings in scientific journals and present at research seminars and conferences.
- Mentor and support students and PhD students engaged in related research activities.
- Extensive experience in stellar modeling.
- Experience in magneto-asteroseismology is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and a proven track record of research publications.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research.
- Effective communication and mentoring skills.
Candidates with diverse backgrounds in stellar modeling and those who have worked on various types of stars are encouraged to apply.
As a formal qualification, you must hold a PhD degree.
