About the Role

This postdoctoral position is part of a collaborative effort between KU and the Molecular Foundry at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory to advance superconducting and semiconducting quantum computing platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for device fabrication, characterization, and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate and characterize qubit devices using advanced techniques.
  • Develop novel fabrication methods and improve existing ones.
  • Collaborate with researchers to advance the understanding of qubit performance.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Ph.D. in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Materials Science, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in qubit fabrication and characterization.
  • An interest in materials science and its applications in quantum computing.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • The ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues.
