At MSD Danmark ApS, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Expert to join our team in Prague. The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in Databricks architecture and deployment patterns on AWS infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. We are looking for an experienced engineer to drive the development of Databricks platform architecture.
  2. The ideal candidate will optimize and fine-tune Databricks architecture to ensure high performance and scalability.
  3. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to understand technology ecosystem specifics, business requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
  4. We require someone who can suggest and implement security measures and best practices to protect classified data processed and stored using Databricks.
  5. The selected candidate will guide community members through the design, development, and deployment of Databricks-based solutions on AWS infrastructure.
  6. Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members on Databricks architecture and development practices is also expected.
  7. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Databricks and related technologies is crucial to continuously improve the solution landscape.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Databricks Architect/Engineer with a strong understanding of Databricks architecture and deployment patterns on AWS infrastructure.
  • Solid knowledge of data science and data engineering concepts and techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL.
  • Experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in a global, team-oriented environment.
  • AWS certification(s) related to data engineering, data warehousing, or data-lake is a plus.
  • Databricks certification(s) is a plus.
