We are seeking a highly skilled software developer in R&D, with a solid background in mathematics, physics or other relevant STEM field, to develop ideas and software for 3Shape's top-of-the-range scanner systems. You will be part of an agile team that works in close cooperation with electronics, optics, and mechanical specialists to push the boundaries for accuracy, precision, and image quality.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize algorithms for our intraoral scanners to improve image quality and scanner accuracy.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of our scanner systems to ensure our continuing position as a global leader in the dental scanner industry.
  • Contribute to a fun and professional work environment within the team and in the 3Shape family, valuing humor and a positive spirit.
  • Collaborate with software, optical, electrical, and mechanical engineers to develop the next versions of our scanner.

About You:

  • Educated as a M.Sc. or Ph.D. in physics, mathematics, computer science, electronics engineering, or equivalent.
  • Good programming skills in object-oriented languages, preferably with experience in C#, modern C++, and Python.
  • Advanced mathematical reasoning and computer vision skills, with a great interest in algorithms and optimization.
  • Mindset for quality, flexibility, creativity, emerging technologies, and for seeing priorities from a user perspective.
