Job Description


We're looking for a skilled Software Engineer - Backend (Ruby on Rails) to join our engineering team and directly impact the core of our fast-growing football platform. You'll be working on the development and maintenance of our expansive Ruby on Rails API, which is used across various platforms including iOS, Android, React, and Admin.



Your Role


As a key member of our team, you'll be embracing our monolithic architecture and enhancing it for simplicity and expandability. You'll be involved in all phases of product development, from brainstorming to deployment and refinement.

Position Details


Role: Software Engineer - Backend (Ruby on Rails)


Salary: 65,000-80,000 per year, dependent on skill level


Location: Copenhagen or remote-first



Requirements for the Ideal Candidate



  • You have minimum 3 years of experience working as a Backend Engineer.
  • You've built and architected well-crafted and scalable APIs using Ruby on Rails or a similar web framework.
  • You're comfortable with REST, JSON, and have at least a curiosity into GraphQL.
  • You have experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • You're detail-oriented, focusing on writing high-quality maintainable code.
  • You write unit and integration tests to ensure that your code is rock solid.
  • You're a team player who strives to improve not only yourself, but everyone around you.
  • You value developer productivity by automating as many things possible in your daily workflow.
  • You have knowledge around running resilient and scalable distributed services.
  • You're fluent in English.
