You will join one of our cross-professional feature teams developing features and content for our game. We study competing games and make informed decisions about developing new features versus taking inspiration from existing mechanics and iterating on them. Key factors include player choice, retention, quality of life, accessibility, customization options, and mod support.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Very good experience working with Unreal and its UI systems
  • Very good experience with visual scripting languages like Blueprint or similar
  • Good understanding of Unreal Materials
  • Confident with Figma, XD, or other design software
  • Relevant bachelor degree or equivalent experience
  • Good communicator and collaborator
  • Enjoy playing RPGs, open-world games, and multiplayer games
  • Modding experience is a bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Implement designs in UMG using our internal UI framework at different levels of fidelity
  • Collaborate with UI designers, game designers, gameplay, and UI programmers to achieve a final look
  • Review design prototypes and suggest improvements
  • Understand UI/UX needs to support the best player experience
  • Fix bugs and help with optimization efforts
