Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet Full time

The University of Copenhagen's Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate position focused on molecular pharmacology of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs). This three-year position presents a unique opportunity to explore the therapeutic potential of GPCRs and their involvement in personalized medicine. Working in the Molecular Pharmacology group led by Associate Professor Alexander S. Hauser, you will collaborate with experts in molecular biology, pharmacology, bioinformatics, and data science to unravel the complex relationships between genetic variations and drug responses.

Key tasks will include the design and implementation of novel biochemical assays for characterizing GPCRs, the development of computational models predicting receptor-ligand interactions, and the analysis of large datasets to identify correlations between genetic variations, receptor function, disease, and treatment efficacy. As part of this project, you will also develop and optimize a robust pipeline for efficiently characterizing the effects of multiple drugs across diverse genetic variants.

The Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology provides an excellent research environment with access to cutting-edge infrastructure, expertise from various disciplines, and opportunities for collaboration with international partners. As a postdoctoral research associate, you will contribute to pioneering research, expand your scientific knowledge, and become a recognized expert in pharmacogenomics.
