About the Job

DTU - Technical University of Denmark invites applications for a postdoc researcher to work on squeezed light sources using the integrated lithium niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) photonics platform. The successful candidate will be part of the High-Speed Optical Communications group at DTU Electro, contributing to groundbreaking research in quantum photonic technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Designing PPLN Waveguides: The candidate will design waveguides on periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) for squeezed state generation.
  • Fabricating Ultra-low Loss PPLN Waveguides: Ultra-low loss PPLN waveguides will be fabricated in the state-of-the-art cleanroom at DTU Nanolab.
  • Developing Fiber-to-Chip Couplers: The candidate will investigate ultra-low loss fiber-to-chip couplers, aiming to achieve record-performance fiber-coupled squeezed light sources.
Qualifications and Skills
  • PhD Degree or Equivalent: The ideal candidate holds a PhD degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as nonlinear photonics, quantum optics, or nanofabrication technology.
  • Experience in Nanofabrication Technology: Experience in nonlinear photonics, quantum optics, and nanofabrication technology is highly desirable.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English are essential for collaboration with colleagues from academia and industry.
