Renewable Energy Investment Associate

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) is a global leader in renewable energy infrastructure investments, seeking an experienced Associate to join the Flagship Fund Team in Tokyo. With a mission to drive the global renewable energy revolution, CIP has grown to become the largest dedicated renewable energy fund manager globally, aiming to raise EUR 100bn by 2030.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development, structuring and execution of investments in greenfield renewable energy infrastructure projects in Japan, Taiwan and Korea. Working closely with a highly experienced team in a dynamic environment, you will be assigned to one or more specific investment opportunities being pursued by The Flagship Fund in Tokyo.
Responsibilities include managing work-streams that form part of investment due diligence, project development & financing, investment approval and divestment processes. You will support the structuring and negotiation of key transaction documentation, develop and manage financial models, and review economic and financial assumptions. Additionally, you will research in relation to counterparties, markets and assets, and work with external advisors and partners to execute investments.
As a member of the investment team, you will also develop analysis and high-quality presentations for internal decision makers and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you will mentor analysts and ensure the quality of their deliverables. The work is project driven and involves all aspects of the infrastructure investment process, including sourcing and acquisition, financing, and exits.
We are looking for a self-driven, collaborative, and analytical professional holding a relevant master's degree within Economics, Finance, Business, or other related fields and 2-5 years of work experience in a similar position. Key qualifications include being a team player with excellent quantitative and analytical skills, solid corporate finance knowledge, and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Japanese.
CIP offers an attractive compensation package and exceptional career prospects. We estimate the salary for this role to be approximately EUR 80,000 - 110,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a basic salary of EUR 60,000 - 90,000, plus additional benefits such as bonuses, health insurance, and retirement savings plans.
