The Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate to join our Flagship Fund Team in Tokyo. As part of this team, you will contribute to the development, structuring, and execution of investments in greenfield renewable energy infrastructure projects in Japan, Taiwan, and Korea.

Your responsibilities will include managing work-streams that form part of investment due diligence, project development & financing, investment approval, and divestment processes. You will also support the structuring and negotiation of key transaction documentation, develop and manage financial models, and review economic and financial assumptions.

You will work closely with a highly experienced team in a fast-paced, stimulating, and global environment. We are looking for a self-driven, collaborative, and analytical professional with a relevant master's degree and 2-5 years of work experience in a similar position.

Key Qualifications

  • Be a team player with the confidence to exercise judgement appropriately, engaging with colleagues at all levels of seniority.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills and very strong attention to detail.
  • Solid corporate finance knowledge, particularly in terms of valuation and financial modelling, with exposure to project finance preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Japanese.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and take on responsibility.
  • Substantial experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with energy or infrastructure is an advantage.
  • A self-starter attitude with tenacity, initiative, and a willingness to commit to deliver the required results.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive compensation package, including a salary of approximately ¥8 million per year, depending on qualifications and experience, as well as exceptional career prospects and benefits.
