We are seeking a highly motivated research fellow to join our team at the Department of Neuroscience, University of Copenhagen. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a related field and experience in electrophysiology. As a researcher in our lab, you will contribute to studies on memory and cognition, using cutting-edge methods for measuring and manipulating neuronal activity. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills in data analysis and collaborate with a diverse team of neuroscientists.

The project involves conducting Neuropixels recordings from awake rodents, performing circuit manipulation, and analyzing spiking data at the population level. We are using state-of-the-art methods for measuring and manipulating neuronal activity, including Neuropixels and other high-density silicon probes, optogenetics, thermal and other perturbation techniques, dimensionality reduction, and other advanced population-analysis methods.

Our lab is committed to open science and has developed several tools and solutions for the neuroscience community, including CellExplorer and BrainSTEM. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about understanding the brain's memory mechanisms and has excellent communication skills and ability to work in teams.
