Vestas is seeking an experienced Advanced Wind Energy Specialist to join our team in Northern and Central Europe. As part of our Mechanical Engineering department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to technicians and customers on hydraulic, yaw system, fasteners, lift, and structural components. Your expertise in bolt connection, hydraulics, fracture mechanics, and bearings will be invaluable in ensuring the reliability of our turbines.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on technical queries related to wind turbine components
  • Taking part in customer and supplier meetings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
  • Sharing knowledge and best practices within the WTG Engineering teams and with the development department to improve turbine performance
  • Creating failure reports and statistical analysis to inform material forecasting and maintenance strategies
  • Developing and refining work instructions to enhance operational efficiency

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in engineering or equivalent experience in the wind industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in German language desirable
  • Proficiency in standard office applications and management software

You will also need to possess:

  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions
  • Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to understand business value from a service and customer perspective
  • Structured approach, with self-motivation, initiative, and ownership
