Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing medical strategies and tactics for our Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease portfolio in alignment with AbbVie's priorities. You will also build and maintain relationships with experts, academic centers, and other healthcare professionals, providing scientific and medical expertise in gastroenterology to internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Duties:
  1. Develop and execute medical strategies and tactics for our Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Disease portfolio in line with AbbVie's priorities.
  2. Establish and maintain relationships with key experts, academic centers, and other healthcare professionals.
  3. Provide scientific and medical expertise in gastroenterology to internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Lead evidence generation by identifying evidence gaps and initiating, driving, or supporting clinical trials and medical projects (internal and external collaborations).
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, regulatory, market access, and clinical development, to promote knowledge-sharing and best practices.
  6. Ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines through evaluation of promotional materials and scientific communications.
  7. Develop and present scientific content and medical education at industry events, conferences, and advisory groups.
  8. Stay current with scientific literature, emerging trends, and the competitive landscape in immunology, focusing on gastroenterology.
