Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet (KU) Full time

The Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research at the University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly motivated research scientist to join our team.

About the Project:

We are working in the broad area of proteomics, genomics, and cell signaling. Our goal is to understand the scope and function of lysine acetylation in gene regulation and the mechanisms of gene activation by cis-regulatory enhancers.

The postdoc candidate will perform wet laboratory experiments involving cultured mammalian cells, CRISPR, and NGS-based genomic technologies, or proteomics technologies to generate large-scale datasets and understand cellular regulatory mechanisms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD/MD level of education corresponding to the Danish PhD degree in natural or medical science
  • Excellent scientific track record, including publications in high-quality, peer-reviewed international journals
  • Expert knowledge in one or more of the following areas: epigenetics, gene transcription regulation, quantitative mass spectrometry, bioinformatic analysis of next-generation sequencing datasets

Benefits:

The employment offers a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art research facilities and collaborate with top-level international researchers.
