Spatial Transcriptomics and CRISPR Screens for Cancer Research

Copenhagen, Copenhagen, Denmark Københavns Universitet Full time

The Department of Biology invites applicants for a postdoctoral position in spatial analysis of the tumor microenvironment. This project seeks to understand how cancer cells sense and react to their environment and identify markers of specific physicochemical tumor traits for potential use as biomarkers and treatment targets.

As a postdoctoral researcher, you will develop and perform spatial metabolomics, spatial transcriptomics, and single cell sequencing of advanced 3D cocultures of human pancreatic cancer cells and associated stromal cells. You will also supervise a PhD student and integrate these data with physicochemical parameters obtained by live imaging of pH, lactate, and oxygen.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and single cell- and/or spatial transcriptomics, as well as experience with CRISPR screens. Excellent communication skills in English are essential, as you will be part of a team and collaborate with international partners.
