About the Role
We are seeking an IT Technical Trainer to join our Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) Learning team at Microsoft. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering technical training to our IT technicians, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to support our cloud services.
As an IT Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging learning experiences, leveraging various delivery methods, including presentations, discussions, labs, and simulations. You will also work closely with subject matter experts to develop and update training content, ensuring it is aligned with our operational goals and meets the needs of our IT technicians.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training programs for IT technicians, covering various topics, including cloud systems, datacenter environments, and server environments.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create and update training content, ensuring it is accurate, relevant, and engaging.
- Use digitally enhanced instructor-led resources to deliver technology-based learning experiences, preparing our IT technicians for local qualifications.
- Apply classroom management techniques to reinforce learning, engage learners, and ensure content and concepts are understood.
- Embody our values of respect, integrity, and accountability, creating a friendly, supportive environment for learners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in training, education, information technology, cloud systems, datacenter environments, server environments, or computer technologies, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in training, education, or IT, with a focus on cloud systems, datacenter environments, or server environments.
- Ability to meet Microsoft's security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Datacenter & IT Operations across various functions.
- Technical training certification, such as CompTIA CTT+, or ability to complete within 6 months of hire.
- Current Industry framework certification, such as ITIL, Prince, or Lean Six Sigma.
