Infrastructure Automation Specialist

Terma A/S is seeking an Infrastructure Automation Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Engineer, you will design, maintain and improve infrastructure automation strategies, ensuring efficient and agile digital environments for our customer, EUMETSAT.

The scope of the work involves leading-edge technologies such as OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools, with a focus on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) models.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Cloud systems maintenance, including routine operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading.
  • Assessing current cloud services and infrastructure of EUMETSAT, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Integrating new technologies into existing cloud systems, including resource-intensive services and IaC scripts.
  • Developing customer use cases and examples to demonstrate benefits and possibilities of the cloud offering.

Key Requirements:

Experience with cloud technologies, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and automation tools, as well as proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Bash, PowerShell, Python.

Knowledge of continuous integration, testing, and deployment best practices, and a good understanding of cloud networking concepts.

Desirable Qualifications:

Deep expertise in GNU/Linux system administration, ability to troubleshoot complex issues, and familiarity with cloud Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning.

Familiarity with cloud-Native Applications development and deployment, Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana (ELK) stack, Dask and Apache Airflow.
