AML Risk Specialist: Converting Complex Assessments into Actionable Insights

About the Role: As an AML Risk Specialist, you will be responsible for performing complex high-risk assessments as part of our due diligence process. This involves analyzing various risk-related factors, taking ownership of assessment cases, and confidently presenting findings to senior management. You will also provide input on Saxo's risk appetite and initiatives for mitigating risk measurements, as well as participate in wider financial crime-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough risk assessments of high-risk clients across multiple segments, including direct, corporate, and institutional.
- Analyze complex data sets to identify potential risks and develop actionable insights.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
- Stay up-to-date with evolving regulatory requirements and industry trends, applying this knowledge to inform risk assessment decisions.
- Prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Relevant educational background and/or experience with financial crime typologies, risk management, compliance, or similar fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial sector, with a proven track record of assessing high-risk cases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; Danish language proficiency is not required.
Salary and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
