The University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly qualified researcher to join the SIGNATURE project. As a research scientist, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting mitochondrial function measurements on human adipose tissue and skeletal muscle samples.

You will work closely with researchers at the Department of Nutrition Exercise and Sports, contributing to research within the SIGNATURE project. The successful candidate will have a strong record in laboratory methodology, experience with high resolution respirometry, and a publication record within metabolic research.

The position is open from July 1, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter, with an initial duration of 4 years and the possibility of an additional 2 years, subject to performance, funding availability, and mutual agreement.

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biology, biochemistry, human physiology)
  • Strong record in laboratory methodology
