About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Pandora A/S.

As a key member of our data management team, you will play a pivotal role in driving the identification of all data assets across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain a robust data governance framework, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business units, IT, and stakeholders, to understand data needs and establish effective governance practices. You will also be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining a data classification system and taxonomy to ensure data privacy and security.
  • Maintaining high-quality data by monitoring and improving data quality.
  • Establishing and enforcing data governance policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Driving the identification and ownership of data domains.
  • Facilitating cross-functional data forums to promote data sharing and collaboration.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in data governance or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of data governance concepts, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with data protection laws, regulations, and industry compliance standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Able to analyze complex data governance issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.
