Vestas is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Blade manufacturing factory in Nakskov, Denmark.

The Quality Department plays a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of excellence. Our team is responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC), two critical aspects of our production process.

Quality Assurance (QA)

We focus on preventing defects in our products by developing and implementing procedures, policies, instructions, and standards that guide our production process. This consistent approach ensures quality is built into the product from the start.

Quality Control (QC)

We inspect finished products to ensure they meet all specifications. We use various testing methods and tools to check the quality of our blade components.

Responsibilities

  • Report quality performance to initiate improvement activities
  • Facilitate problem-solving methodologies (RCA)
  • Participate in ISO 9001 certification processes
  • Assist in internal and external audits and support improvement activities
  • Handle Non-Conforming materials and products with ownership of medium/high-level NCs through corrective and preventative measures
  • Monitor performance in designated production areas and work with the Production Support Team to solve and implement improvement plans
  • Approve trials and prepare technical reports

Qualifications

  • Engineering degree and experience in quality engineering in a production plant
  • Strong communication skills with fluent English (written and oral)
  • Understanding of quality processes and reporting
  • Team player with the ability to work in line and matrix organizations

Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Able to maintain focus and professionalism in a time-sensitive situation
