We are a leading player in the renewable energy sector, and our EPC department is responsible for designing, planning, procuring, and managing our projects from ready-to-build to construction phase. Our team works closely with professional suppliers, partners, and sub-contractors to ensure the successful completion of our sites.
The Role
The Technical Sourcing Manager will be part of our EPC Sourcing & Procurement team, focusing on handling quality control (QC) relevant activities, including initial technical discussions with Chinese suppliers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail to maintain high-quality standards.
- Coordinate all communications with third-party auditors for PV modules inspection, including defining scope, RFQ, price analysis, production follow-up, and report collection.
- Analyze issues that arise during inspection, escalate if necessary, and be the primary point of contact.
- Negotiate contractual sections related to QC, supplier qualifications, and deviation matrices.
- Lead meetings with inspectors and manufacturers to improve PV module production processes.
- Manage inspection reports.
- Obtain traceability documentation for the PV modules supply chain.
- Gather and store certification at the end of production.
- Conduct market assessments on technologies, becoming a technical expert on products like PV modules, and prepare decision materials for technology shifts.
- Be the focal point for coordinating technical discussions between Chinese Suppliers and EE HQ.
- Support technical evaluations with HQ engineers.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve technical issues and coordinate improvements.
- Present during factory audits of new components and qualify suppliers according to ISO 9001.
- Handle communications with third-party auditors for other component inspections.
- Manage other component inspection reports.
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure products meet EE requirements.
- Report deviations to the S&P Manager and QHSE team HQ.
You can expect some travel activity, approximately 10-20%.
