About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our Algo Data team at Centrica Energy Trading. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and operating a data platform that enables and supports the growth of our Algo Trading business.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work alongside an ambitious, collaborative, and fun team dedicated to creating a robust data platform. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving technical innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and efficient software solutions for our data platform
  • Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, and analysts to integrate data from various sources
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using.NET C#, Web API, Angular, and other technologies
  • Work with our DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and monitoring of our data platform
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions
Requirements
  • Strong experience in software development, data engineering, and distributed systems design
  • Proficiency in.NET C#, Web API, Angular, and other technologies
  • Experience with data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
