About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen. The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary research group that combines bioinformatics, genomics, multi-omics integration, and machine learning to understand cardiometabolic health.

Research Focus

">

The research group led by Associate Professor Jordi Merino is focused on understanding how molecular and environmental factors modulate variable metabolic responses to therapeutic interventions with special emphasis on precision diabetes prevention. As a Postdoctoral Researcher, you will contribute to this effort by developing novel approaches to integrate large-scale omics datasets, including genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics, and metagenomics, to identify novel molecular signatures and biomarkers associated with diabetes-related complications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in bioinformatics, genomics, computer science, and machine learning. You should also possess excellent computational skills, experience in single-cell omics analysis, and high-level proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R. A proven track record of scientific productivity in peer-reviewed journals and excellent communication skills are essential.
