About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Coastal Engineer to join our team at Ramboll in Denmark. As a key member of our Ports, Marine and Coastal Department, you will be responsible for leading technical coastal engineering excellence and delivering professional expertise to projects and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking the lead for technical coastal engineering excellence
  • Delivering professional expertise to projects and to customers
  • Managing numerical modelling tasks for waves, water levels, currents, sediment transport, etc. using state-of-the-art software as MIKE
  • Managing met-ocean analysis of waves, currents and water levels to establish design conditions for both coastal and offshore projects
  • Design tasks using state-of-the-art coastal engineering methods to address problems related to marine structures and climate change
  • Hydraulic design of water intake and outfall structures
  • Preparation of technical documents (reports, drawings, specifications)
  • Engaging and interacting with other team members in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Drive the development and innovation of our hydraulic modelling excellence
  • Take responsibility for technical project delivery as discipline lead/design manager
  • Maintain the highest level of quality in our deliverables
  • Promote our capabilities in the market
  • Co-create closely with clients and stakeholders, focusing on value creation
  • Act as a role model for our younger team members
About You

To succeed in this role, you must have a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar) and preferably +10 years proven experience in the design of marine structures, such as quay, jetty, and berthing structures, pile decks, caissons, block walls, dolphins etc. Knowledge about port equipment, mooring systems, and navigation is also essential. Additionally, you should have extensive knowledge of relevant design codes and design methodology, as well as large experience with complex multidisciplinary marine projects, such as ports, flood defences, artificial islands or immersed tunnels.
