The University of Copenhagen's Department of Veterinary and Animal Sciences is seeking a highly qualified veterinary microbiologist to fill a 2-year postdoctoral research position.
As part of the One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (OHAR) research group, you will contribute to the scientific and teaching activities of the section. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, supervising students, and delivering lectures for the Infection Microbiology and Veterinary Paraclinics courses.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field, as well as outstanding publication record and excellent scientific writing and oral communication skills.
The position offers a dynamic and international research environment with modern laboratories equipped for traditional and molecular microbiology.
You will be responsible for defined activities within the second EU Joint Action on Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare-Associated Infections (JAMRAI2), focusing on surveillance of antimicrobial resistance, strengthening antimicrobial stewardship, and infection prevention and control in veterinary medicine, livestock production, and environmental settings using a One Health approach.
