Postdoc of Materials Chemistry and X-ray Scattering Expert
5 days ago
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Copenhagen seeks a highly skilled postdoctoral researcher to join our international team. The successful candidate will contribute to advancing our understanding of materials chemistry, with a strong focus on characterizing atomic structures using X-ray scattering methods.
Project OverviewWe are currently engaged in two exciting research projects: one involves the use of ultrafast X-ray scattering at synchrotron and XFEL sources to study the formation mechanisms of nanoparticles, while the other explores size/structure relations and formation pathways for disordered oxide nanomaterials and high entropy materials.
Our research aims to elucidate the complex relationships between material synthesis pathways, atomic structure, and electrocatalytic properties. To achieve this, we employ a range of advanced techniques, including in situ synchrotron studies and operando experiments.
The selected candidate will work closely with our team to design and conduct experiments, analyze data, and present findings in high-level scientific papers. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this role.
