About the Job Description

The position involves working on climate and ice sheet surface models, designing and executing model experiments, developing model code, and analyzing outputs. You will collaborate with colleagues at DMI and international partners on critical climate research projects, contributing to scientific papers and grant applications.

About You

  • A PhD degree in climate science, meteorology, or related fields.
  • Experience with climate modelling, particularly in regional atmospheric modelling, numerical weather prediction, Earth system modelling, surface mass balance, or ice sheet modelling.
  • Advanced programming skills, including Linux/Unix, scripting languages like Python or Fortran, and experience with HPC systems.
  • Research experience working with polar climates is an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in oral and written English.
