Position Overview
In the role of Process Scientist in the QC laboratory, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality of our pharmaceutical products alongside a dedicated team of 20 professionals, including fellow scientists and laboratory technicians. You will serve as the primary expert for HPLC analyses and will collaborate closely with other QC laboratories involved in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) production.
Our team works in conjunction with various laboratory teams within the department and the Insulin API Manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Coordinating interdepartmental tasks on behalf of the QC department.
• Providing guidance and support to laboratory technicians.
• Streamlining processes, implementing improvements, and managing deviations.
• Engaging in Lean methodologies and data analysis.
This is a temporary position for a duration of 1.5 years.
Required Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess:
• A minimum of a master's degree in natural sciences, engineering, pharmacology, or a related field.
• Experience in GMP environments and familiarity with cLEAN principles.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC analysis in the pharmaceutical sector or another GMP-regulated context, along with QC compliance experience being an advantage.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Danish.

About Our Department
The Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) division, located in Kalundborg, is dedicated to producing insulin and GLP-1 to support individuals with chronic conditions such as diabetes and obesity. We engage in numerous exciting projects across Novo Nordisk, ranging from innovative setups to optimize existing processes.
Our Insulin Manufacturing facility in Kalundborg is recognized as the largest insulin production site globally, responsible for creating the active ingredients that form the basis of many of Novo Nordisk's products, including our anticipated oral product. The M1 facility uniquely consolidates the entire production chain under one roof.
The QC department within IM1 comprises five teams and approximately 60 colleagues. We prioritize a safe working environment, continuously striving for well-being and fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
