About the Role

We are seeking a Sustainability Specialist to contribute to our journey toward a carbon-neutral, zero-waste future. As part of our Research & Development team, you will define, implement, and facilitate sustainability initiatives across the entire turbine value chain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and evaluate module sustainability targets to ensure alignment with strategic goals
  • Champion and prioritize key sustainability initiatives within the modules and product teams
  • Work closely with module ownership teams, including procurement, design, and service, to embed sustainability practices
  • Facilitate the adoption of Eco Design and Circular Design principles in Vestas' product execution processes
  • Deliver specialized training on Eco Design and Circular Design to enhance the skills of module teams
  • Provide guidance for environmental assessments within modules and internal teams
  • Head the creation and refinement of tools to monitor sustainability performance and promote continuous improvement
About You

To be successful in this role, you should have a comprehensive understanding of sustainability and environmental issues, with the ability to address them holistically. You should also have knowledge of Eco Design and Circular Design, including their practical applications, and project management skills with familiarity with the stage-gate product development process.

You will thrive as a collaborative contributor and a receptive listener who can leverage the potential of diverse teams. You should display an analytical approach with a focus on data-informed decision-making and envision future possibilities, grasp broad concepts, and communicate their value with clarity.
