The Pioneer Centre for Statistical and Computational Methods for Advanced Research to Transform Biomedicine (SMARTBiomed) seeks a highly skilled Assistant Professor in Causal Inference at the Section of Biostatistics, Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen.

About the Role

">

This is a three-year fixed-term position with an average weekly working hour of 37 hours. The successful applicant will conduct causal methods research at an international level, take an active part in teaching at all levels, and co-supervise students at the PhD level.

Key Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Manage own academic research and administrative activities.">
  3. Conduct research in line with the goals of SMARTBiomed.">
  4. Contribute to evolving the research priorities of SMARTBiomed.">
  5. Support the collaborative infrastructure of SMARTBiomed.">
  6. Lead write-up of research papers pertaining to their work and collaborate in the preparation of research publications.">
  7. Lead ideas for new research projects and apply for grant funding.">
  8. Present papers at conferences or public meetings.">
  9. Supervise students and research assistants.">
  10. Contribute to teaching in the Section of Biostatistics.">
  11. Contribute to the administrative activities of SMARTBiomed and the research group of appointment.">

Requirements and Qualifications

">

The successful applicant should have a PhD in Biostatistics or a closely related area and document a strong record of original scientific research in theory and applications of causal inference at an international level. Experience with university teaching and supervision is also essential.

The position offers a competitive salary, including a monthly salary of approximately €5,445.70, plus additional benefits such as pension and tax reductions if eligible.
