Job Title: Associate Education Officer - Knowledge Management and Reporting

UN News is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Education Officer - Knowledge Management and Reporting to support the effective implementation of basic education programs by ensuring robust knowledge management, facilitating continuous learning, and contributing to reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement knowledge management strategies to capture, organize, and share project information and experiences.
  • Maintain a repository of project documents, reports, and learning resources.
  • Facilitate knowledge exchange sessions and learning events to promote best practices and innovations.
  • Coordinate the preparation and submission of high-quality project reports, including semi-annual and annual reports.
  • Develop templates and guidelines for consistent and effective reporting across the project.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of data collection tools and methodologies.
  • Analyze project data to generate insights and inform decision-making.
  • Produce data visualizations and dashboards to facilitate understanding and communication of project results.
  • Work closely with the integrating knowledge management and learning into the MEL framework.
  • Contribute to the development and tracking of key performance indicators.
  • Support the documentation and dissemination of evaluation findings and lessons learned.
  • Develop communication materials, including newsletters, case studies, and success stories.
  • Ensure effective dissemination of project outcomes and learnings to internal and external audiences.
  • Support the team's online presence, including updating relevant web pages and social media content.
  • Promote the project's achievements and impact through social media platforms and events.
  • Organize and participate in events, webinars, and conferences to showcase project results and share knowledge with wider audiences.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Information Management, International Development, Communications, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: 3 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or 2 years relevant experience with a Graduate degree; or 1-year relevant experience with a Doctorate degree.
  • Key Competencies: Strong analytical and organizational skills, understanding global and regional education policies, standards, and frameworks, excellent communication and writing skills, proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques, fluency in English.
