Underwriter - Financial Lines

We are seeking an analytically strong and socially skilled Underwriter to join our Financial Lines team in Copenhagen. The role will focus on our Danish and Norwegian Financial Lines business, working closely with colleagues across the Nordic countries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent underwriting and negotiations, including risk assessment and pricing of new business opportunities and renewals.
  • Actively participate in Product Development within the Financial Lines product area to improve client retention and new business.
  • Support the Manager for Financial Lines Denmark & Norway in implementing portfolio actions.
  • Ensure quality control within defined areas of responsibility by undertaking quantitative underwriting review to develop best performers' segments.
  • Sales & Market related activities: Represent and promote Chubb to brokers and clients, increasing Chubb market visibility.
  • Independently handle requests and queries from brokers and/or clients under supervision of senior underwriters.
Requirements:
  • Relevant academic qualifications in Business Law and Business Administration, Law, Economics, Data Science, or similar.
  • Preferably 0-3 years of experience within financial analysis/underwriting within financial products/Cyber risk or similar experience.
  • Experience of working in a multinational environment.
  • Demonstrated achievements, experience, and skills in risk analysis within the financial sector.
  • Excellent communication and commercial skills.
  • Experience in negotiating and attracting profitable business.
  • Danish and English on a professional level - written and spoken.
  • Self-driven and proactive with a Can-do attitude.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and the ability to follow a steep learning curve for similar tools used in underwriting.
