Risk Management Specialist for Conduct and Sustainability

Contribute to a robust testing framework in Danske Bank

We are looking for a Senior Risk Officer who will deliver on a comprehensive testing strategy within Conduct, Sustainability and Regulatory Risk areas in Danske Bank. The Business Controls and Product Management (BCPM) department plays a pivotal role in supporting the Business in achieving its strategic objectives with reporting lines to the heads of the three business units: Large Corporates & Institutions, Business Customers, and Personal Customers.

The Conduct, Sustainability and Regulatory Risk Testing team focuses on developing, executing, and managing testing for conduct and sustainability across all Business Units. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing control testing for Regulatory, Conduct, and Sustainability risks, including test scripts for key controls, test frequency, etc.
  • Analysing and interpreting testing results to highlight areas of strengths and improvement for Conduct, Regulatory, and Sustainability risks across Business areas.
  • Identifying opportunities for test automation for key controls and working in partnership with the teams across Controls Management.
  • Supporting escalation of test results and monitoring for Senior Management and Governing Risk Committees.

Key skills and qualifications

You are an experienced finance risk professional with knowledge of financial products, processes or other relevant experience and know how to combine risk management principles with the needs of the business. You bring:

  • 4+ years of non-financial risk management experience, ideally with particular emphasis on conduct and/or sustainability risk.
  • The ability to look beyond the numbers and identify the underlying risk drivers and trends.
  • Proficient written communication skills to convey complex findings in a short and easily understandable manner.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required, and preferably one Nordic language.

You also bring solid experience working with stakeholders across organisational lines. As our organisation is moving at a fast pace, it is essential that you show flexibility and initiative in a fast-changing environment. You can establish relationships with stakeholders and relevant business areas across countries in order to meet collective regulatory and risk management objectives.

Compensation and benefits

The estimated salary for this position is around 120,000 - 150,000 DKK per annum, depending on your level of experience. Additionally, you will receive a range of benefits, including health insurance, pension scheme, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
