The University is looking to appoint a Clinical Professor of Neurorehabilitation. This externally funded position is associated with a consultancy role at the Department of Brain and Spinal Cord Injury, located within the Neuroscience Center.

Applicants must submit two separate applications: one for the professorship and another for the consultancy role. This requirement also applies to current consultants at the hospital.

Job Responsibilities
The primary focus of the professorship will be on the candidate's capacity to demonstrate a significant level of original scientific contributions on an international scale in the field of Neurorehabilitation.

  • Conducting research, including publication and academic dissemination
  • Engaging in research-based teaching and associated examinations
  • Providing research leadership, including mentorship and supervision of researchers
  • Sharing knowledge with the broader community, including participation in public discourse
  • Conducting academic assessments

Required Qualifications
Applicants must meet six overarching criteria for professor appointments at the University, which encompass research, teaching, societal impact, organizational contribution, external funding, and leadership. Each candidate must also be able to:

  • Demonstrate a high level of original academic output at an international level, with significant contributions to the academic discipline
  • Manage research and administrative functions, engage in external academic activities, and facilitate knowledge and technology transfer
  • Deliver research-based teaching

The candidate should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Employment Terms
This is a fixed-term position for a duration of five years. The successful candidate will receive a pensionable annual salary.
