Fiber Network Strategist

As a Senior Fiber Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of GlobalConnect's network development. Your workdays will be characterized by dynamic collaboration with our international team.

You will collaborate closely with your team and various partners across borders, with a primary focus on Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. This will give you the opportunity to influence and shape the future of the network from northern Norway down to Germany.

• Manage high-level strategic planning of the fiber network, including managing existing expansions and ensuring submarine cables connect countries.
• Navigate through lengthy approval processes and participate in meetings with our customers.
• Work closely with our carrier business team to optimize the network and ensure compliance with all requirements and needs.

As a key member of our team, you will work with mapping tools like GIS (SmallWorld, MapInfo) and network documentation systems.

We are seeking an individual who is determined, results-oriented, and has effective communication and written expression skills. Proficiency in a Scandinavian language as well as English, both spoken and written, is crucial for this role.

You should be a positive problem solver, organized, quality-conscious, and service-oriented. Being proactive is second nature to you, and you find motivation in anticipating challenges and working with complex solutions.

• Previous experience with strategic planning of fiber networks.
• A comprehensive understanding of the costs associated with constructing fiber networks.
• Prior experience in overseeing contractor procurement processes.
