Procurement Strategist for Global Supply Chain

Job Description:

About the Role:

This position reports directly to the North Central Eastern Europe Procurement organization and indirectly (dotted line) to the central Procurement Program Management organization. As a key member of the procurement team, you will be responsible for building, monitoring, and reporting project procurement plans and creating end-to-end reporting overviews. You will also develop cost-out targets with engineering and commodity managers, update supplier lists, and ensure supplier awareness of project-specific requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including technology, sales, supply chain, construction, project management, finance, and quality teams
  • Manage supplier capacity trackers, supply chain readiness, and investments necessity
  • Collaborate with engineering and commodity managers to develop cost-out targets
  • Update supplier lists and manage local content execution
  • Ensure supplier awareness of project-specific requirements
  • Build a significant network within Vestas, enabling you to influence, collaborate, and partner with business leaders to achieve results

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or project procurement, with a degree in business administration, supply chain management, or project management
  • Experience in commodity management, project execution, and sourcing strategy development in an industrial and international environment
  • Good stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage with internal and external stakeholders on all levels of seniority
  • Strong written, verbal, and listening skills, to communicate and influence effectively
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel required
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written
  • Experience working across different cultures and regions
