About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our research team at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU). The successful candidate will be part of an ongoing 5-year research project focused on developing new enzymatic technologies for the production of human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs).

Responsibilities

  • The postdoc will be responsible for enzyme expression, purification, and characterization, as well as design and execution of enzyme activity assays.
  • Candidate will be involved in enzyme discovery/selection, protein design, and engineering targeting enzymatic synthesis of specific HMO carbohydrate structures.
  • Collaboration with industry partners is expected, including training of new group members and visitors in relevant laboratory technologies.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Documented experience in protein expression, enzyme purification, and characterization.
  • Innovative research capability, good problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Track record of publication in internationally recognized journals.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a team-work mentality.
