Job Overview

SPIE Energy Danmark APS, an international subsidiary of SPIE group specializing in the Energy Sector, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join its Finance division in Esbjerg.

Key Responsibilities
  • General Accounting: Responsible for the complete accounting of SPIE Energy Danmark ApS, including suppliers, receivables, bank reconciliations, non-current assets, non-current liabilities, expense claims, and more.
  • Treasury: Initiates bank payments, maintains links with banks, and performs follow-up, reconciliation, and balance sheet analysis.
  • Monthly Accounting Closing: Prepares provision for operations evaluation and completes monthly accounting closing.
  • Yearly Accounting Closing: Prepares annual accounts and completes yearly accounting closing.
Taxation

Responsible for preparing, completing, reviewing, and remitting VAT declarations, tax returns, and other duties specific to Denmark.

Reporting
  • Manages the entire monthly accounting reporting process, including one management package for consolidation team, cash reporting, and collaboration with HR Department for reporting standards.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Prepares information for external auditors.
  • Initiates and manages financial and accounting software IFS used by SPIE.
  • Works in proximity with the financial controller.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in accountancy.
  • Previous experience with ERP software, ideally IFS Software.
  • More than 7 years experience as a senior accountant generalist.

  • Excellent communication skills at different levels.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Previous experience in industrial projects is a plus.
