">Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and motivated PhD researcher to join our team and contribute to our research on green maritime fuel transition. The successful candidate will work closely with our project leads, Marie Münster and Josef Oehmen, and will be responsible for developing and applying advanced energy system models to assess the potential of different green fuel production pathways.
">Responsibilities: The PhD researcher will be expected to deliver a large-scale energy system modelling framework, including sector coupling opportunities and different green fuel production pathways, to provide insights into where, when and which fuels to produce along green corridors. They will also develop a modelling framework for assessing fuel costs risks and their underlying uncertainties along green corridors.
">Requirements: To be considered for this position, applicants must have a master's degree in engineering or economics with a focus on energy system analysis or similar. Experience with energy system modeling, ideally of large-scale multiple country energy systems, PtX and renewable fuel production, is also required. Strong writing and presentation skills are essential, as well as good programming capabilities in advanced analysis software and mathematical optimization suites.
