About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled PhD researcher to join our team at Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU). As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for developing innovative high-frame-rate ultrasound-based wall shear stress (WSS) estimation frameworks.

This project aims to revolutionize medical imaging by integrating state-of-the-art machine learning techniques with advanced ultrasound imaging. You will work closely with our clinical partners at hospitals to collect and validate data, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our proposed techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in high-frame-rate ultrasound imaging and machine learning
  • Develop and implement machine learning models for vessel wall segmentation and WSS estimation
  • Test and refine proposed techniques through in-vitro flow phantom studies
  • Collaborate with clinical partners for data collection and validation

Requirements:

  • Strong background in applied mathematics, computer science, biomedical engineering, or related fields
  • Proficiency in image processing, computer vision, and machine learning techniques
  • Advanced programming skills in languages such as Python, MATLAB, or similar
