The Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management at University of Copenhagen is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team. As a key member of our research group, you will contribute to a two-year project focused on urban expansion and associated conversion of natural areas within African cities.
Within this project, you will be responsible for developing and conducting independent research using geoinformatics methodologies, including GIS and remote sensing. You will work closely with the PI and a PhD student to identify and promote more sustainable trajectories of urban expansion in African cities.
We are looking for an exceptional candidate who possesses strong methodological skills in geoinformatics and experience working in urban development issues in the Global South. The successful candidate will have a track record of high-quality academic publications based on spatial analysis methodologies and be proficient in spoken and written English.
