We are partnering with a rapidly growing hardware & software business based in Copenhagen as they seek a VP Finance / CFO to help professionalize the company ahead of a Series B raise.
About the Role- The Founder & CEO is seeking a strategic financial leader to drive the business forward and shape the company's financial strategy.
- This role will be pivotal in owning future fundraising efforts, building financial foundations, and driving data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Leverage your expertise in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with product and commercial teams to develop pricing strategies that align with market needs and drive revenue growth.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure full financial visibility by connecting data across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee reliable month-end close processes and ensure historical data integrity.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to maintain stability and support the company's growth trajectory.
- Establish and monitor key metrics and OKRs across the business to drive performance.
- Support senior commercial negotiations with suppliers and partners, including oversight of legal and contractual agreements.
- Lead and support elements of international expansion, ensuring financial operations are compliant and scalable.
- Proven experience as a VP Finance or CFO in a scaling startup.
- Demonstrated success leading Series A–C fundraising rounds.
- High IQ and EQ, with the ability to navigate complex strategic and operational challenges.
- Expertise in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting.
- Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Experience with international financial operations, including familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards in both the EU and US markets.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to balance major strategic initiatives (e.g., fundraising, business intelligence development) with meticulous attention to operational details (e.g., margins, financial controls).
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proven ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
