We are partnering with a Copenhagen-based, rapidly growing hardware & software business as they look for a VP Finance / CFO to help professionalize the business ahead of a Series B raise.

The Founder & CEO is seeking a strategic VP Finance to serve as a co-pilot in driving the business forward. This role will be pivotal in shaping the company's financial strategy, owning future fundraising efforts, and building the foundations needed to scale effectively in a data-driven environment and expand further into the US.

What experiences you will gain?

  • Play a leading role in identifying suitable funding options as the business scales beyond the Series A stage.
  • Act as a key partner to the CEO, influencing all strategic and operational areas of the business.
  • Lead financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning, to ensure the company achieves its ambitious growth targets.
  • Ensure full financial visibility by connecting data across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee reliable month-end close processes and ensure historical data integrity.
  • Collaborate with product and commercial teams to develop and refine pricing strategies that align with market needs and drive revenue growth.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk to maintain stability and support the company's growth trajectory.
  • Establish and monitor key metrics and OKRs across the business to drive performance.
  • Develop robust finance, revenue, and sales forecasting models to support short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
  • Support senior commercial negotiations with suppliers and partners, including oversight of legal and contractual agreements.
  • Lead and support elements of international expansion, ensuring financial operations are compliant and scalable.
  • Gain hands-on experience navigating the complexities of multi-market financial operations and supporting a growing global footprint.

What background should you have before you press apply?

  • Proven experience as a VP Finance or CFO in a scaling startup.
  • Demonstrated success leading Series A–C fundraising rounds.
  • High IQ and EQ, with the ability to navigate complex strategic and operational challenges.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting.
  • Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to distill complex financial data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Experience with international financial operations, including familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards in both the EU and US markets.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance major strategic initiatives (e.g., fundraising, business intelligence development) with meticulous attention to operational details (e.g., margins, financial controls).
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with a proven ability to build and inspire high-performing teams.
